Senior Housing

This program provides affordable housing for low-income seniors. To be eligible, applicants must be 62 or older, have a very low income (as determined by HUD) and be capable of taking care of themselves and their apartment. The rent is based on approximately 30% of the residents adjusted gross income.

Each apartment has a full-sized kitchen and bathroom, and some are designed for the mobility impaired. Residents bring their own furniture and personal belongings. A service coordinator assists residents who need referrals to outside services to remain independent. Each facility has a community room for social and educational activities, a coin-operated laundry, on-site staff, group transportation for shopping, activities and other services as needed. There is no medical staff on site.

To apply, applicants should contact the facility directly and ask to be placed on the waiting list. This is not intended for emergency housing.
