Interfaith Health
& Wellness Association (IHWA) is committed to the support and
education of registered nurses who serve their congregations and
communities by promoting care of the body, mind, and spirit for
health and wellness. A parish nurse or faith community nurse serves
as health educator, health counselor, resource for church and
community services, advocate for those in need, and facilitator of
health ministries.
The Faith
Community Nurse Basic Preparation Curriculum, a comprehensive course
of study approved for 33 CEUs and geared to experienced registered
nurses, is offered annually in
June and is recognized by the International Parish Nurse
Resource Center.
