Black Cultural Awareness Mass

The 15th Annual Black Cultural Awareness Mass will be celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (22nd Street and Ave “E) in Riviera Beach on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at 11am.

"Serving an Unchanging God, in Changing Time" is the theme for this year’s event featuring main speakers, Rev. Charles and Chester Smith from the Diocese of Indianapolis. Rev. Charles and Chester are the only twin African American priests in the United States and they will concelebrate Mass with the Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach. Music will be provided by the inspirational voices of the St. Francis of Assisi Choir and the St. Ann Haitian Community Choir. Dance presentations by the Orita Dance Group and St. Ann Liturgical Dancers. A soul food dinner will be served in the parish hall following the Mass.
