Diocese of Palm Beach Hosts State Respect Life Conference
The
Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach will host the annual state Respect
Life Conference October 13, 14, 15 2006 at the Marriott Hotel in
Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Hundreds will gather from all of Florida to hear nationally renowned
speakers, lay activists, priests and our local Florida Bishops who
work to educate the faithful and curious alike about the sanctity of
life in all its forms from the moment of conception to natural
death.
“Our
society has allowed a culture of death to permeate families, schools
and the media. Now is the time to rise up for a culture of life. Now
is the time to raise up men and women of God who will be instruments
and lights to promote respect for the God given gift of life,” said
Don Kazimir, Respect Life Director for the Diocese of Palm Beach.
“We will gather in prayer and reflection to be educated on life
issues, to grow in our faith for the promotion of the Gospel of Life
in our society,” Kazimir added.
Come
and hear how Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King links
the civil rights issue to the pro-life cause. Come and hear about
the value of every person’s life, which begins at the moment of
conception, from Rev. Frank Pavone, fearless apostle for life and
founder of Priests for Life, a national organization committed to
returning the United States to a culture of life. Pavone kicks off
the dynamic weekend on Friday night with a prayer service. Come
learn about the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Pro-Life Heart detailed by
Rev. Tom Euteneuer, priest of the Diocese of Palm Beach and
President of Human Life International based in Washington D.C.
Compelling topics of the weekend include: Abortion and the
Civil Rights Movement, Science and Ethics of Stem Cells and Cloning,
the Catholic Campaign to End the Use of the Death Penalty, The
International Abortion Issue, Catholic Palliative Health Care,
Inspiration For Tomorrow’s Pro Life Leaders geared to youth
and much more!
The
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop of Palm Beach, will
celebrate the closing Mass of the weekend on Sunday Oct 15, 2006 at
9:00am. Bishop Barbarito’s dynamic preaching and message on the
sanctity and gift of life is not to be missed.
