ARE YOU CATHOLIC TO THE CORE?
Diocese Hosts Annual World Youth Day Event!
The
Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach Offices of Youth & Young Adult
Ministry and Campus Ministry will host the annual World Youth Day
celebration set for November 4, 2006 at Our Lady Queen of Apostles
Church in Royal Palm Beach.
This year’s gathering Catholic to the Core features the powerful
witnesses of the men from Grassroots Films in Brooklyn, NY.
Grassroots, a nationally acclaimed film group, created Fishers of
Men and God in the Streets of New York City answering Pope John Paul
II’s call for greater evangelization in the media. Under the
direction of Mr. Joe Campo, Grassroots Films is comprised of youth
and young adults who have dedicated their lives in service of Jesus
Christ for the promotion of the Gospel. WYD attendees will have the
opportunity to hear their personal faith stories and catch a glimpse
of their film projects.
Other highlights of WYD Catholic to the Core include: prayer,
service, games, food, contemporary music from local diocesan
parishes and universities, Mass celebrated by Bishop Gerald M.
Barbarito at 4:30 p.m. and much more! For 10 dollars a person you
gain admission for the entire day, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. which
