(November 22, 2006) Palm Beach Gardens, FL
Lumen Christi
Gala
On
behalf of the Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach, Most Rev. Gerald M.
Barbarito will host the annual Lumen Christi gala for Catholic
Education which is set to take place Saturday December 2, 2006 at
the Breakers in Palm Beach. With over 500 expected to turn out from
all over the diocese, this year’s event is sure to please!
Year
after year, the Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Palm Beach turn
out in support of Catholic Education. This is the 18th annual Lumen
Christi Gala black tie in support of Catholic Education with net
proceeds of the charity event distributed 50 % to scholarships in
diocesan schools, 25 % to the Education Endowment Fund and 25 % as
direct subsidies to needy schools. The unwavering generosity of so
many has paved the way for a firm foundation for the education of
our children and all who are students of faith.
The
General Chairpersons for the event are Mr. and Mrs. Ron Assaf from
Boca Raton, FL in collaboration with diocesan Secretary of
Education, Fr. Alfredo Hernandez, V.F. pastor of Saint Juliana’s in
West Palm Beach.
The
spectacular evening of dinner, dancing and fellowship begins with
cocktails and reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner in the Ponce
de Leon room.
