At this time, we do not accept pledges online. Reminders are mailed out April to December, or as designated by the donor.

Credit Card Payments / On-Line Donations – Donors may make a one-time credit card donation to the 2008 Diocesan Services Appeal on our website on the link below. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. NOTE: On-line donors can either make a one-time donation or a payment on an existing pledge. The dollar amount entered, will be the amount charged to the credit card.

On this site, you can donate to the current Diocesan Services Appeal, complete your pledge to the previous Diocesan Services Appeal. Please Note: Any payments received after 2/29/08 for DSA 2007 will be credited to DSA 2008.

Electronic Fund Transfers – Donors may have automatic withdrawals made from their checking or savings account by completing the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Authorization portion of the pledge card/pledge envelope. A voided check must be included for the withdrawal to be set-up properly.

Monthly Billing – Make a pledge today and the Diocese of Palm Beach Development Office will send monthly reminders for the next ten months. There is no minimum payment.

Stock Donation – Please advise your parish office manger, business manager or secretary if you are interested in donating stock for the Diocesan Services Appeal for the best way to give theses gifts

Gifts of stock can be donated to the diocese, a parish, or a school within the diocese. For information on stock gifts, please call the Development Office at (561) 775-9590. You may also go the our website to the “Opportunities for Giving” page and then to “Charitable Gift Planning – Stocks/Securities”.

Matching Gifts Do your parishioners know if their employers offer matching gift programs? Many companies will match donations to charitable organizations, thereby adding it to their gift. Ask parishioners to find out from their employers if their donations qualify for matching gifts. This area increases each year and now is a great time to remind your parishioners to inquire about a matching gift program at their companies because it can double or triple their donation to the DSA and can also be credited toward the parish goal! Companies do change their policies over time so parishioners should all be reminded to check with their employer. Some employers even match gifts by retirees or spouses of deceased employees.

If they are not sure whether their company provides matching funds, they should ask their company. A Matching Gift form can be obtained from the Human Resources Department or Benefits Coordinator. They should fill in the employee’s portion and can submit the form either with their pledge card or at a later time.

Remind them that most companies set aside a certain amount of matching money each year. If the employee waits until December to fulfill their DSA pledge, the matching funds may no longer be available to double their donation.

Charitable Gift Annuity, Remainder Trust or Charitable Lead Trust
Please have donors contact Lyndsay Von Bokern in the Development Office at (561) 775-9590.

Real Estate
Contributing real estate to the Diocese and/or parish, whether a personal residence, family farm, vacation home, condominium, townhouse, cooperative apartment, business property or speculative acreage – can be highly advantageous to a donor. A donor may have a significant income tax charitable deduction and avoid capital gains tax.

IRA Charitable Rollover Provision
IRA Donors who are age 70-½ or older can instruct IRA trustees to make transfers to the Diocese of Palm Beach without incurring taxable income on those amounts. This provision is set to lapse after 2007; however Congress is expected to extend it. Please have donors consult with their financial advisor for details.
