(Read USCCB Release)

National Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated in our diocese and around the nation. This year’s national theme is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” During this week, our schools will have special activities, service projects and Masses to celebrate Catholic education. Parents, schools and parish communities may be invited to attend. Those interested in attending should contact their respective school or the respective parish of the school.

The week is also celebrated with daily themes, You can learn more about National Catholic Schools Week on the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) website

Our Catholic schools have more than 6,000 students enrolled across the Diocese of Palm Beach. Our students are instructed in their faith on a daily basis, experience exceptional academic programs, and serve their communities in many ways! Our diocese is blessed to have 19 wonderful, faith-filled schools, including two preschool centers and three high schools.

Bishop Barbarito’s Special Message about our Catholic Schools

At Masses the weekend of January 14 & 15 the diocese will have a special collection on behalf of our Catholic schools for needs-based tuition assistance. Your generous gift will assist our schools as they strive to make a Catholic education accessible to all who desire it, regardless of socio-economic status. Our goal is to help young people grow in their faith, excel academically and serve humbly. Last year each of our schools received over $8,300 thanks to your generosity!

In the Diocese of Palm Beach, Catholic-school education is a priority. In his special letter to parishioners Bishop Barbarito emphasizes the important of such an education, and also explains how the diocese is increasing the funding available for needs-based tuition assistance to families.
