Update: Closings in the Diocese Due to Hurricane Irma

Updated 9/7/17:

Due to impact of Hurricane Irma, the Diocese of Palm Beach announces the following closings and notices of cancellations at our diocesan entities and schools. Any such information given to the diocesan Office of Communications will be posted on this web page, on our Facebook page and shared with media. Information on our Catholic schools will be posted on the schools website and Facebook.

The diocese's policy for our schools is that when emergency conditions have been declared by the county, such as severe weather conditions (hurricane, tornadoes, flood), schools may be closed.  Unless they are informed otherwise, diocesan schools follow the decisions of the respective county's public school systems.  Our diocesan schools will utilize their communication tools to inform parents, faculty and their school communities.

It is up to each of our 53 parishes and missions to determine their own cancellations. Parish members should contact their parish offices for more information.

All of our faith community is advised to follow the instructions of our local authorities when it comes to personal safety, traveling, and attended Mass or church activities. While parishes may remain open, the faithful are always advised to exercise prudence and caution as to whether to venture out in any storm.
