Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, is responding to Super Typhoon Haiyan. The storm slammed into the Phillippines on the island of Samar on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, and hit Vietnam on Saturday, Nov. 9. The storm has killed an estimated 10,000 people and local officials report approximately 9.5 million people have been affected.
Thanks to extensive preparations, CRS was able to start responding immediately and will continue to do so. However, your help is needed.
You can help CRS as it provides 100,000 families with shelter, essential living supplies, and clean water and santitation. To donate to this effort, you may:
