TEXT FOR BULLETINS

Free Summer Meals Available to School Children

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is serving free, nutritious meals and snacks to school-age children, aged 18 and under, during the months of June, July and August.  During the school year, many children receive free and reduced-price meals through the School Breakfast and National School Lunch Programs.  When school lets out for the summer, many of these children are at risk of hunger or poor nutrition. SFSP is intended to bridge the gap in nutrition during the summer months by serving nutritious meals to children at select feeding sites located at summer camps, churches and community center in low-income neighborhoods.

To find a location near you, visit www.summerfoodflorida.org or call 211, your local community resource information line.
