Prayers for Seminarians

Lord,
Shine a light upon your people to find their true vocation.

Give them the grace to hear your word and become more like you.

May they answer your call and be an example to others.

Help them to follow the example of Jesus.

Amen

Lord,
We know your way is the best. Please forgive us for trying to ignore your call.

Society has created other things that call us in a more glamorous way, and so we pray that people can recognize the emptiness of that calling.

Help us now Lord to refocus on you and realize a call to serve you is actually an amazing gift. In our love for you, we never wish to dishonor you by refusing such a gift of love.

Dear God,
Help people answer more of your calls.

And if they do they'll make the world a better place.

Bless them, O Lord.

We need more priests and nuns, please help us.

Pope John Paul II, pray that God will give us Priests like you.

Dear God,
We pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Guide those who are ready to answer your call.

We thank you for those who are willing to give their lives to God and the Church.

We ask you to extend your hand on the families and friends of those considering a vocation of service to your people.

Bless those who have already answered your call to religious life.

Open the hearts of the young people of the world so they may be ready to hear and respond to the call of your Word.
