Part Time Spanish Teacher - St. Clare Catholic School

St. Clare Catholic School located in North Palm Beach, FL is searching for a Part Time Pre-K through 3rd grade Spanish teacher (Monday thru Friday, school calendar year).

We are seeking a highly engaging, well planned, and dedicated PreK – 3rd grade Spanish teacher to join our faith-filled staff beginning with the 2024/25 school year.  The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English and will have demonstrated success in teaching Spanish to children.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and supported.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support the overall success of the music program and the school community.
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons and activities, promoting spiritual growth and character development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.


  • Must possess a valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate for Spanish Education, Elementary or eligibility.  Preference will be given to the candidate with previous Catholic School teaching experience. 
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Active Catholic Preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
  • Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
  • Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity.
  • Ability to stay focused and organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment.
  • Strong ethical values.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds.
  • Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, stretching and kneeling.
  • Frequent use of both hands and fingers
  • Occasional moments of minimal and routine hearing
