Diocese of Palm Beach Announces New Chief Financial Officer

The Diocese of Palm Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Vito Gendusa as the Catholic diocese’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Gendusa is a Certified Public Accountant and was appointed to the position by The Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito, Bishop Palm Beach.


As CFO, Mr. Gendusa is responsible for the overall financial management of the Diocese of Palm Beach and the stewardship of fiscal resources in support of the mission and goals of the diocese. This includes budgeting, accounting, bank management, investments, audits, real estate and insurance and risk management. The position also provides financial oversight, guidance and advice for the fiscal operations of the diocese’s 53 parishes and missions, 17 Catholic schools, its Catholic cemetery and other entities located within the five counties that compose the Diocese of Palm Beach.


Mr. Gendusa has an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Degree from Loyola University of Chicago.


Prior to his appointment at the diocese, Mr. Gendusa was the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration at BOX Options Exchange. He has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial services and has held Controller roles at a hedge fund firm and at a brokerage firm.


The Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach encompasses the five counties of Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee. The Diocese serves the faithful community in its 53 parishes and missions, and through its 17 elementary, middle and high schools.
