RCIA/Catechumenate Program

(a ministry of the Office of Catechetical Leadership and Youth/Young Adult Ministry Formation)

In the sacraments of Christian initiation we are freed from the power of darkness and joined to Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. We receive the Spirit of filial adoption and are part of the entire people of God in the celebration of the memorial of the Lord’s death and resurrection.

The Office of the Catechumenate maintains to the best of its knowledge and control that the parishes are in compliance with Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA (NCCB/USCCB).

Combined Celebration of the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion is held each year at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola on the Saturday and Sunday following Ash Wednesday.

Professional Development for parish individuals and teams is offered through workshops, presentations, Learning Sessions, In-Services and Retreats. Very often these Professional Development days feature nationally renowned experts in their respective fields or feature individuals or teams that we are blessed to have in our diocese.
