Assistant Administrator - St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School

St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School, located in Delray Beach, FL, is searching for a full-time Assistant Administrator for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Assistant Administrator supports the principal in fostering a positive, faith-filled school culture rooted in respect, accountability, and student growth, recognizing that a strong culture is essential to academic success. This role leads to efforts in student discipline and classroom management while overseeing athletics, clubs, and aftercare programs to ensure a well-rounded student experience that supports learning and engagement. The Assistant Administrator collaborates closely with teachers, students, and parents, serving as a key liaison between school and families to promote clear communication and consistent support of student progress. Responsibilities also include assisting with daily school operations and ensuring a safe, secure, and well-supervised campus, including oversight of arrival, dismissal, and lunch procedures—to maintain an environment where students can thrive academically. 

Essential Communication Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Supports the Principal and school leadership in the daily operation of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic School.
•    Assists in fulfilling the mission of the school by development and administration of the faculty, staff, students, and school operations, according to the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools, in the areas of Mission and Catholic Identity; Governance and Leadership; Academic Excellence; and Operational Vitality.

Qualifications:
•    Master’s degree in education administration required, preferably in Education Leadership or related field.
•    Valid teaching license (Current State of FL teacher license preferred).
•    Three years’ teaching experience required. A minimum of Level One Catechism Certificate as determined by the National Directory for Catechesis and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
•    3 years of administrative experience in a Catholic school.
•    Status as an active Catholic able to participate in the sacramental life of the Church. Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
•    Knowledge of instructional methods/strategies and curriculum differentiation. Knowledge of child and adolescent development, learning, and behavior.
•    Knowledge of the content and the methods of religious education.
•    Knowledge of effective assessment methods.
•    Proficiency with technology tools and in Google Suite, MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
•    Ability to multi-task, work independently, and make responsible judgment calls.
•    Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the general public.
•    Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
•    Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity.
•    Ability to stay focused and organized.
•    Strong interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment.
•    Strong ethical values.
•    Adheres to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct
•    Reliable insured vehicle and ability to travel to locations within the Diocese of Palm Beach

Physical Requirements:
•    Required to work some nights and weekends
•    Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress
•    Required to work a full school day 
•    Required to work in standard school and office conditions
•    Required to lift or carry classroom supplies, textbooks, furniture, and equipment to a minimum of 35 pounds
•    Required to maintain composure and avoid inappropriate displays of emotion
•    Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, pull, hear, see, and speak on a daily basis 
•    Required to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
•    Required to monitor students in a variety of locations, including those with noise, activity, and inclement weather
•    Occasional time spent working closely with others
