Director of Student Affairs - Cardinal Newman High School
Cardinal Newman High School, located in West Palm Beach, FL is searching for Director of Student Affairs position beginning July 1, 2026 (actual start date is negotiable).

Responsibilities:
Serves as a member of the school’s leadership team and reports to the principal
Coordinates all school activities which involve extra-curricular and co-curricular activities
Keeps the calendar for all school activities and facility reservations for the school
Works directly with the Student Council and all clubs to develop positive student leadership through school and community sponsored activities
Coordinates the development of budgets for all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
Supervises and supports the activities of the Office of Campus Ministry, band/chorus and the activity moderators
Solicits input from faculty and communicates with them regarding the student activities program
Coordinates the following student services:
security for the campus
transportation of all school activities (minibuses)
arranges the sale and distribution of school rings
arranges the taking of Senior Portraits
orientation
- Is responsible for coordinating major events such as Homecoming Week, Grandparents Day, Catholic Schools Week, and others.
- Is responsible for coordinating orientation and graduation

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong public speaking skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create a warm, vibrant activities program.
- Advanced computer skills with knowledge and experience using Microsoft Suite and Google products.
- Good organizational skills
- Master’s degree a plus, and 3 years of experience preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and great customer service skills that will create an exciting activities program and promote student leadership.
- Ability to work effectively with students and faculty/staff
- Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity
- Strong ethical values
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Position will require after school time and some evening/weekend hours
- Occasional light lifting (under 15 pounds) and moderate carrying and lifting (15 – 44 pounds)
- Frequent use of both hands and fingers (i.e. typing)
- Frequent extended periods of sitting
- Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
- Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e. loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e. listening to others in conversation)
- Occasional time spent working closely with others
