The Diocese of Palm Beach Pastoral Center located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL is searching for a full time Senior Director of Technology & Information Systems.

Overview:
The Senior Director of Technology & Information Systems provides strategic leadership for technology, cybersecurity, data, digital services, and organizational improvement across the Diocese. The position partners with diocesan leadership to modernize technology, strengthen governance and cybersecurity, improve business processes, and develop a long-term technology roadmap that supports the mission of the Church.
The Senior Director of Technology & Information Systems is a collaborative, strategic leader who builds consensus, leads organizational change, strengthens relationships across the Diocese, and promotes operational excellence and responsible stewardship of resources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology and digital transformation strategy aligned with diocesan priorities.
- Lead technology modernization and organizational improvement initiatives across diocesan offices, parishes, schools, ministries, and affiliated organizations.
- Evaluate business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery.
- Lead initiatives that leverage technology to reduce manual processes and improve organizational performance.
- Develop and oversee the Diocese-wide cybersecurity, data protection, and technology risk management strategy.
- Establish and maintain technology governance standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Guide technology investments, procurement, vendor management, portfolio planning, and resource allocation.
- Strengthen data governance, reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
- Lead organizational change initiatives associated with technology modernization and process improvement.
- Assess technology and organizational risks and establish priorities for mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Build collaborative relationships with diocesan leadership, pastors, principals, ministry leaders, and administrative staff.
- Communicate technology strategies, priorities, risks, and initiatives effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop technology staff and future organizational transformation resources.
- Promote innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, service, and responsible stewardship of diocesan resources.
- Establish and monitor measurable objectives for technology modernization, cybersecurity, operational efficiency, and organizational transformation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
- Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience, with demonstrated success leading technology, digital transformation, organizational improvement, or related initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects, organizational change, technology modernization, and process improvement.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, technology governance, risk management, data governance, cloud technologies, and technology operations.
- Experience working in nonprofit, faith-based, education, healthcare, mission-driven, distributed, or multi-site organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and modern cloud technologies preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications in technology, cybersecurity, project management, organizational change, or related disciplines preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and ability to translate technology opportunities into practical organizational solutions.
- Excellent communication, listening, collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence change, and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative leadership style with a commitment to integrity, professionalism, humility, service, and responsible stewardship of resources.
- Sound judgment, discretion, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

- Ability to attend meetings and travel between diocesan offices, parishes, schools, and other locations as required.
- Ability to work outside normal business hours in response to organizational needs, technology initiatives, or significant technology incidents.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
- Excellent and professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
- Adhere to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct with emphasis on confidentiality and able to exercise discretion and good business judgment
