Helping Parishes Build A Plan For Youth Ministry & Confirmation
What is Youth Ministry?
“Youth Ministry is the response of the parish community to the needs of its young people, and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth within the larger community,” as defined by the US Bishops in their Renewing the Vision framework for Youth Ministry. The Diocese of Palm Beach fully supports this vision as we seek to assist parishes to effectively evangelize middle and high school youth and support them in the preparation and reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation and beyond.
IN THE NEWSROOM
A new podcast dropped this week (April 2026) from YDisciple featuring our very own Andy Baker, Faith & Family Formation / Youth & Young Adult Ministry Coordinator, Diocese of Palm Beach!
In this episode of The YDisciple Podcast, Pete Burds and Annie Grandell sit down with Andy for a rich conversation on relational ministry, diocesan leadership, and the slow, faithful work of culture change. Together, they explore what it means to foster discipleship by walking closely with ministry leaders, building trust over time, and helping parishes shift from maintenance to mission. Andy offers a compelling vision for diocesan ministry that starts not with policies or programs, but with friendship, accompaniment, and a genuine investment in the people doing the work on the ground. Take a listen!
