
PALM BEACH GARDENS | The Diocese of Palm Beach’s Office of Hispanic Ministry invites local faithful to pilgrimage to the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola to celebrate Jubilee 2025. Four special Saturday morning opportunities to walk through the cathedral’s holy door for prayer and the Eucharist will be offered starting Aug. 2.
Parishioners from each of the four diocesan deaneries will be welcomed to the events at the cathedral, 9999 N. Military Trail in Palm Beach Gardens, beginning with praying of the rosary outside at 10:30 a.m. Following the prayers, those in attendance will process into the cathedral for Mass, presided by Father Duván Bermúdez, director of the Office of Hispanic Ministry. Though all are welcome, the event will be in Spanish.
The pilgrimage schedule is:
• Aug. 2 for parishioners from the North Deanery parishes: St. Sebastian, Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission, Holy Cross (Vero Beach), St. Helen, St. John of the Cross, Notre Dame Catholic Mission, St. Anastasia, San Juan Diego Hispanic Pastoral Center, St. Mark the Evangelist, Holy Family, St. Lucie, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Bernadette and Sacred Heart (Okeechobee).
• Sept. 13 for the South Deanery: St. Mark, St. Thomas More, Emmanuel, St. Vincent Ferrer, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission, Our Lady Queen of Peace, St. Lucy, Ascension, St. Joan of Arc, St. Jude, Our Lady of Lourdes and St. John the Evangelist.
• Oct. 4 for the Central Deanery: Mary Immaculate, St. Edward, St. Ann, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles, St. Rita, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Mary, St. Philip Benizi, Holy Name of Jesus, St. Juliana, St. Luke, Sacred Heart (Lake Worth Beach), Holy Spirit and St. Matthew.
• Nov. 1 for the Cathedral Deanery: St. Martin de Porres, St. Joseph, Holy Redeemer, St. Andrew, St. Christopher, Holy Cross (Indiantown), St. Jude, St. Peter, St. Patrick, St. Paul of the Cross, Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Claire, St. Francis of Assisi and St. John Fisher.
“Please join us on pilgrimage as we honor Jesus, his church and the Blessed Mother as we journey through the holy doors at our Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola,” Father Bermúdez said. “These four special events will be opportunities to thank God for his bountiful blessings and seek his intercession to meet the various needs of our families and our world.”
