Tenebrae Prayer Service at Holy Family Parish
Tenebrae, the Latin word for "darkness" or "shadows," is an ancient, Catholic prayer service held during Holy Week.
Using a combination of Scripture, symbolic actions, and sacred music, Tenebrae tells the story of Christ’s Passion, the people's abandonment of Him, the darkness of sin, and His slow death.
Taking place in complete darkness, Tenebrae is known for its solemn, reflective, and sorrowful atmosphere, serving to prepare the faithful for the Triduum.
Please join Father Frank D’Amato and Holy Family’s catechists and lectors at 7pm on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Our Lady’s Chapel.
