National Eucharistic Congress Launch, St. Augustine FL
JOIN IN THE RENEWAL OF OUR CATHOLIC FAITH AND IN HONOR OF AMERICA'S 250TH ANNIVERSARY
St. Augustine will serve as the launching point for the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage as organizers announced a new East Coast route that connects faith, history and national identity during the country’s 250th anniversary year.
The pilgrimage will begin Memorial Day weekend with Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, where a Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated in 1565 at the founding of St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest continuously occupied settlement. From Northeast Florida, the pilgrimage will travel north along the East Coast before concluding in Philadelphia on July 5.
Outdoor concert and festival on Friday, May 22 - National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche grounds in St. Augustine featuring nationally known Catholic artists Sean Forrest and Sarah Kroger, along with food trucks, Eucharistic Adoration, confessions and opportunities for fellowship and prayer. The event is designed to welcome families, young adults and pilgrims from across the region.
The weekend starting Saturday May 23 will include Eucharistic processions, Masses, Adoration, opportunities for confession and the official sending forth of the perpetual pilgrims who will accompany the Eucharist along the pilgrimage route.
