Part Time Bus Driver - St. Helen Catholic Church and School
St. Helen Catholic Church and School located in Vero Beach, FL is searching for a Part Time Bus Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safe and reliable transportation of children and adults for a variety of activities, including parish ministry events, school athletic games, field trips, summer camp activities, and youth group trips. The safety of all passengers is the bus driver's top priority. Drivers conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition and perform routine maintenance checks. They are also responsible for keeping the bus clean and fueled. This is a year-round position.

Qualifications:
- Florida CDL B with PS Endorsement is required
- Adhere to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct with emphasis on confidentiality and the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Ability to work effectively with Maintenance Director, Staff, and Administration of the School
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent driving record
- Knowledge and understanding of church organization and operational procedures.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
- Ability to stay focused and organized.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment.
- Strong ethical values.
- Must have previous experience with supervising and working with small children
- Must agree to fingerprint through the outlined process
- Ability to multitask, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
- Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, department heads, representatives of other agencies, and the general public.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds
- Frequent use of both hands and fingers
- Frequent extended periods of sitting
- Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
- Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e. loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e. listening to others in conversation)
