The Jupiter-Palm Beach Chapter of Legatus celebrated its fifth anniversary of chartering with an Advent social and 2023 award presentations Dec. 19, 2023, at the Pelican Club in Jupiter.
Chapter president David J. Thompson received the Legatus Southeast Region President of the Year Award, chapter administrator Kathryn Matrunola received the Legatus Southeast Region Chapter Administrator of the Year Award, and member Karmita Gusmano received the Legatus Southeast Region Campbell Award for Program Excellence.
Father Frank D’Amato of St. Helen Parish in Vero Beach and Father Chamindra Williams of Holy Cross Parish in Indiantown concelebrated Mass, with music led by Janet Perez.
To apply for membership in Legatus, an organization for Catholic business executives and their spouses, applicants must meet certain criteria, such as being a Catholic in good standing; holding the top position at a qualifying company, subsidiary or division (chairman, president, CEO, managing director, division head, owner); with at least 40 employees or a payroll of $1.5 million; and revenue of at least $9 million, or $2 million for financial or commission-based client services.
