PORT ST. LUCIE | A day of inspiration, connection and worship is planned for women at the Called By Name 2025 Women’s Encounter Saturday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Lucie Parish, 290 N.W. Prima Vista Blvd. in Port St. Lucie.
With “Radiant Joy” as the theme for women age 14 and older, the day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast in the parish hall, followed by inspiring talks, opportunities for Eucharistic adoration and the sacrament of reconciliation. The conference will conclude with Mass in the church at 4 p.m.
The featured speaker will be musician and podcaster Noelle Garcia, a wife and homeschooling mother of six children from Oklahoma City. She is the director of formation for EQSaints, a youth ministry training organization, and has spoken for more than 10 years at Steubenville conferences, the National Catholic Youth Conference, various parish and diocesan events, and has several talks available on Formed.org and through Lighthouse Media.
Garcia, who earned a master of theological studies degree from Newman University, is co-host of the new Symbolon Refresh series produced by the Augustine Institute. Her main speaking topics include sharing her witness of struggling with depression and self-harm and having faith during suffering. Garcia has three music albums; her latest, “Wonderfully Made,” is a project she did with her husband, David McHugh.
Tickets for $40 include breakfast, lunch and a special gift. Scholarships are available. To purchase tickets, visit the diocesan website at www.diocesepb.org/news/events.html/event-form/registration-form/105426/tickets.
