TEQUESTA | All parish, school, catechetical, faith formation and ministry leaders are invited to a day of formation intended to help them fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Mt 28:19-20)
“Embracing the Great Commission: A Day of Encouragement, Prayer and Practical Ideas for Ministry Leaders” will be Friday, May 22, at St. Jude Parish, 204 N. U.S. Highway 1 in Tequesta. The day, offered free of charge, will begin with Mass at 8:30 a.m., with light breakfast and lunch provided, and concluding about 3 p.m.
Austin Habash of the Augustine Institute, a former Carthusian monk who is the founder of Sent Evangelization and Think Catholic, will speak on the church’s mission, offer a clear introduction to the heart of the Gospel, with practical ways to evangelize and re-engage people within parish boundaries, and examples of what’s actually working in parishes and schools and how to adapt those ideas.
