PALM BEACH GARDENS | Hakuna, a popular Catholic musical group from Spain, will perform its first concert in the United States at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. The evening will include a Holy Hour with Eucharistic adoration.
Hakuna was formed in Madrid in 2013 when a group of young university students began to meet to pray, share life and put their talents at the service of others. What started as small gatherings became a movement of music, prayer and community that has spread to thousands of people in Spain and other countries. They seek to bring people to Jesus and share a message of hope for today’s world.
The group recently had the opportunity to perform for Pope Leo XIV during his apostolic visit to Spain. Also, this initial trip to the United States is connected to Hakuna’s Latin Grammy nomination, with the awards ceremony taking place next month in Las Vegas.
Many are excited that they will be making a stop in the Diocese of Palm Beach. The night of faith, music, praise and worship is part of the diocese’s planning for World Youth Day 2027, in collaboration with Florida Crystals.
General admission tickets cost $50 each. There is no assigned seating. For tickets, scan the QR code on the promotional flyer at www.diocesepb.org and on social media or call the diocese at 561-775-9544.
