Dear Brother and Sisters in Christ:
With the opening of schools for the 2025-2026 year, our thoughts also turn to the Lumen Christi Schools Appeal that supports the Diocese of Palm Beach’s 18 Catholic elementary and secondary schools. Keeping with the theme of “Live the Light of Christ,” the appeal serves the needs of our ever-expanding educational system, with more than 7,200 students and 600 hard-working school employees. The theme reminds us of the Latin words Lumen Christi, which means Light of Christ, and how we are inspired to manifest Christ’s goodness through wholesome, effective and holy actions.
All net proceeds from the appeal will be allocated to support our schools as they work to provide a Christ-centered education. Also, as a sign of our appreciation, donors will be given the opportunity to be recognized for their assistance through our communication outlets.
Please join us in supporting this effort as we continue our commitment to foster Catholic education through the Lumen Christi Schools Appeal. When reviewing the enclosed giving opportunities, I ask that you prayerfully consider a gift that would support our schools. Please continue to keep our students, teachers and staff in your prayers as you are drawn to the light of Christ.
With deep appreciation for your support, and with every prayerful wish, I am
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito
Bishop of Palm Beach
