BOCA RATON | AIM, an outreach ministry of St. Joan of Arc Parish that serves the spiritual needs of adults with physical disabilities, will host a Day of Spiritual Renewal on Saturday, Feb. 10, in the parish’s Mercy Center, 370 S.W. Third St., Boca Raton. The theme is “Blessed are the Poor in Spirit,” which will offer fitting preparation for the Lenten and Easter seasons.
The free retreat, starting with arrival from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m., will include two spiritual talks by Father Kevin McQuone of St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, group discussions, singing, prayer and celebration of Mass. Light breakfast snacks and lunch will be provided. Father McQuone is expected to bring a group of seminarians with him to participate in table discussions.
AIM, which stands for Achieve, Inspire and Motivate, welcomes individuals with physical disabilities and those who may be experiencing more limited mobility due to aging. Anyone interested in learning about AIM and assisting attendees is urged to come forward. Participants are paired with “buddies” who help them during the day.
