A letter from Rev. Quesnel, Pastor of St. Ann Catholic Church:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5–6

Dear St. Ann School Families,

It is with both gratitude and great hope for the future that I write to share an important update regarding the leadership of St. Ann Catholic School.

After many years of faithful service to our school and parish community, Mrs. Susan Demes has shared her intention to retire at the conclusion of the 2025–2026 school year. Mrs. Demes has been a dedicated leader, guiding St. Ann Catholic School with wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to our mission of forming students in faith and academic excellence. Under her leadership, our school community has continued to grow spiritually and academically, and we are deeply grateful for the countless ways she has served our students, families, faculty, and parish.

In the months ahead, we will have the opportunity to celebrate and thank Mrs. Demes for her many years of service and the lasting impact she has made on St. Ann.

Following a thoughtful search and discernment process, I am pleased to share that Ms. Ann Simone has been appointed as the next Principal of St. Ann Catholic School, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

Ms. Simone currently serves our community as Assistant Principal and Resource Director and has already been a valued member of the St. Ann family. She brings more than two decades of experience in educational leadership, having served in administrative roles in both the public school system and the private sector. Throughout her time at St. Ann, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to our students, our families, and the mission of Catholic education.

As a Catholic school, our purpose extends beyond academic achievement; we are called to form young people in faith, character, and service to others. Ms. Simone’s leadership reflects a deep understanding of this mission and a desire to continue strengthening the vibrant Catholic identity that defines St. Ann Catholic School.

Over the coming months, Ms. Simone will continue working closely with Mrs. Demes to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition in leadership. This will allow our school to build upon the strong foundation that has been established while continuing to move forward with confidence and unity as a faith‑filled community.

We remain deeply committed to the continued growth, excellence, and spiritual formation that make St. Ann Catholic School such a special place for our students and families.

Please join me in thanking Mrs. Demes for her many years of devoted service and leadership, and in congratulating Ms. Simone as she prepares to take on this important role. Let us keep both of them, and our entire school community, in our prayers as we continue our shared mission of forming students in the light of Christ.

Thank you for the many ways you support St. Ann Catholic School and help us nurture the faith and future of our children.

In Christ,
Fr. Quesnel
Pastor, St. Ann Catholic Church
