Bishop continues pastoral visits

PALM BEACH GARDENS  |  Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez has begun a series of pastoral visits to parishes in the Diocese of Palm Beach. So far, mostly going in alphabetical order while accommodating parish and school calendars, he has visited St. Andrew in Stuart and St. Ann in West Palm Beach. He generally dedicates three days to take a deep dive into the parish and school, if there is one, the clergy, staff members, ministries and parishioners. His goal is to learn about and experience the unique wonders and challenges of church ministry in each location.

The bishop’s upcoming parish visits are to St. Clare in North Palm Beach, May 19, 20 and 22, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission in Delray Beach, May 26-28.

WEST PALM BEACH  |  The annual retreat for students in the School of Christian Formation was held April 25, 2026, in the cathedral parish’s Family Life Center in Palm Beach Gardens. About 60 students in the school’s English and Spanish programs attended the retreat on their way to graduation as “agents of evangelization” Wednesday, May 13, with Bishop Manuel de Jesús Rodríguez presiding.

The retreat was led by Father Duván Bermúdez, director of the diocesan Office of Hispanic Ministry and the School of Christian Formation, who encouraged the students to keep spreading the Gospel after completing their three years of classes.
