Today, our Diocese of Palm Beach launches Helping Hands for Cuba-a humanitarian campaign born out of compassion, solidarity and faith through our Catholic Charities Palm Beach office.
As Catholics, we cannot turn our backs on the pain of our brothers and sisters. We are called to respond with love in action. Through this campaign, we have the opportunity to bring hope, dignity, and relief to families who are enduring enormous difficulties.
I invite each parishioner, family, ministry and community member to participate by donating the requested food and hygiene items during the collection days in our designated parishes. No donation is too small. A bag of rice, a box of pasta, a bar of soap-each item becomes a sign of God’s provision and compassion for His people.
Thank you for opening your hearts and extending your hands to the people of Cuba. Together, we can remind them they are not forgotten.
