PALM Beach Gardens, Fla. – The Diocese of Palm Beach is inviting Catholics and all people of goodwill to join in a variety of Respect Life events beginning today as the Church renews its commitment to defending the dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.
The season of prayer and witness begins with 40 Days for Life, a nationwide prayer campaign running from September 24 through November 1, offering opportunities for peaceful prayer, fasting, and community outreach in support of life. [diocesepb.org]
Throughout the coming weeks, the Diocese will also participate in the Respect Life Month Novena, sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, from October 22 through October 30. Catholics are encouraged to join thousands across the nation in prayer for the protection of human life and for a greater respect for the dignity of every person.
Additional diocesan events include the Annual Butterfly Release in Vero Beach on October 26, a special gathering that offers prayer, remembrance, and hope for families who have experienced the loss of a child. [diocesepb.org]
The Diocese will also host a Respect Life Ministry Prayer Service on October 28 at the Cathedral of St. Ignatius in Palm Beach Gardens, bringing together clergy, parishioners, and Respect Life advocates in prayer for the unborn, mothers, families, and all those whose lives are affected by the challenges facing our culture today. The Diocese of Palm Beach encourages parishioners, families, students, and Respect Life ministry members throughout Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties to participate in these events and deepen their commitment to protecting and cherishing human life at every stage.
