Welcome to the website of the Roman Catholic
Diocese of Palm Beach!

Forgiveness, Service, Communion
It is precisely hope which enables us to face these difficulties, especially in a world that faces so much challenge, hatred, violence and misdirection in terms of faith and values.
Whether you are searching for information about the diocese, parishes, and schools or about the Roman Catholic Church, I hope our diocesan website will help you.
Whether you are a full-time resident, a part-time winter resident, or a tourist visiting our area, I pray that you will enjoy your time in the diocese, and as you tour our website. May Mary, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles, patroness of the diocese, guide us in the footsteps of her Son, Jesus Christ.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito
Bishop of Palm Beach
News & Notes
In what some are calling “the Charlie Kirk effect,” people across the nation, including many college students who are not ordinarily churchgoers, have decided to go to church since the assassination last week of the conservative Christian political activist Charlie Kirk.
It was historic for the Catholic faithful around the world, especially the youth, as Pope Leo XIV proclaimed Blessed Carlo Acutis and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati as canonized saints Sept. 7, 2025, at St. Peter’s Square in Rome. It was the Holy Father’s first canonization of saints.
Bishop Gerald M. Barbarito prayed Sept. 6, 2025, at the start of the ordination Mass for six permanent deacons for the Diocese of Palm Beach that God, who “taught the ministers of your church to seek not to be served but to serve their brothers and sisters,” would support the men, “whom you graciously choose today for the office of deacon,” so they “may be effective in action, gentle in ministry and constant in prayer.”
Erika Kirk, the widow of slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk, vowed to continue her husband’s work Friday night during an impassioned and deeply personal televised address that focused on the importance of faith and family life.
