Interventionist/Enrichment Teacher - St. Helen Catholic School
St. Helen Catholic School, located in Vero Beach, FL, is seeking a qualified and compassionate Interventionist/Enrichment Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This role supports both students in need of academic intervention and those requiring enrichment opportunities beyond the core curriculum. Candidates should hold a current FLDOE teaching certificate or be able to obtain one within the first six months of employment.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- To instill in children a love for Christ and His Church and an understanding and appreciation of Christian principles.
- To give witness and example of Catholic values.
- To interpret and model the school philosophy by contributing to the growth of a faith community.
- To provide small group instruction to support students in reading and/or math based on assessment data and teacher recommendations.
- To design and implement enrichment activities for high-achieving students in alignment with grade-level standards.
- To use data from diagnostic assessments (STAR, classroom benchmarks, etc.) to inform instruction and track student growth.
- To collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students needing support or enrichment and develop appropriate learning plans.
- To develop targeted lessons and materials to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- To differentiate instruction for intervention and enrichment.
- To attend and actively participate in all Student Support Team (SST) meetings.
- Progress monitor students weekly to assess student growth
- Work with SST team to identify students in need of enrichment or intervention
- Meet with parents on conference nights and on request from parents
- Prepare data for quarterly admin meetings to determine students that require specialized instruction
- Support standardized testing days with testing administrator
- Provide consistent supervision and maintain a structured environment conducive to learning.
- To maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents.
- To create a schedule in collaboration with administration and faculty that supports pull out for instruction.
- To establish a positive rapport with faculty members, administration, parents, and students.
- To participate in student support meetings and contribute to the development of Student Support Plans.

- To follow all school and Diocesan policies and procedures.
- To support and exemplify Catholic doctrine and morality in both professional and personal conduct.
- To attend school/parish events, meetings, and retreats as required by the Principal.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a BA or BS degree in Education or related field; ESE experience preferred
- Holds or is pursuing a valid FLDOE teaching certificate
- Experience with reading intervention strategies
- Familiarity with diagnostic and progress-monitoring tools such as STAR or Terra Nova
- Skilled in differentiated instruction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and administration
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion
