Kindergarten Teacher - St. Clare Catholic School

St. Clare Catholic School in North Palm Beach, FL is searching for a full time Kindergarten teacher for the 2024/25 school year.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team beginning with the 2024/25 school year.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about early childhood education, have strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and be committed to working in a team environment to promote the values of our Catholic faith and the mission of St. Clare Catholic School.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and supported.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support the overall success of the kindergarten program and the school community.
  • Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons and activities, promoting spiritual growth and character development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or Official Statement of Status of Eligibility in Elementary Education (grades K-6) or Prekindergarten/Primary Education (age 3 through grade 3)
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Active Catholic Preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet.
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and make responsible judgment calls.
  • Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the general public.
  • Excellent written, verbal and public speaking skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capacity.
  • Ability to stay focused and organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respect confidentiality and consistently exercise discretion and good business judgment.
  • Strong ethical values.

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds.
  • Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, stretching and kneeling.
  • Frequent use of both hands and fingers
  • Occasional moments of minimal and routine hearing
