St. Peter Parish celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a festival on parish grounds Sept. 23, with dancers, traditional foods, games for children and a parade of flags and Marian images. Father Don Finney, pastor of St. Peter, expressed gratitude in Spanish for the many Hispanic members of the parish, who show their dedication and generosity in service to God and his church. “I want to tell you that I greatly appreciate your presence among us,” he said. “You constitute an important force in our church, and in this year that we have celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Hispanic community here in our parish, I renew my support and my blessing to each of you.”
