For the past five years, The Saint Pio Foundation, https://saintpiofoundation.org/, has been blessed to offer the authentic relics of Padre Pio for veneration in more than one hundred archdioceses and dioceses. More than one million of the faithful, who have had the opportunity to pray to Padre Pio and to ask for his intercession, have received life changing blessings.
The Saint Pio Foundation has elected to offer opportunities for parishes to host the relics of Padre Pio for an additional year in the United States to those archdioceses, dioceses, shrines, basilicas, and parishes that request them. The relics will not be available in 2024 in the United States.
The foundation’s requirements are basically the same as in past years. The most important of them are: (1) to allow the Saint Pio Foundation to make available prayer intentions or petitions to those visiting the relics so that the faithful might be able to write their prayers, and if so desired, to include free-will donations; (2) to offer a second collection in support of the Saint Pio Foundation's mission, or a free-will donation if a second collection could not be raised. There are no additional requirements to host the collection of relics. All the logistical costs, which include travel, hotels, meals, etc. for a custodian, who travels with the relics, are covered by the Saint Pio Foundation.
