Six women from 22 to 33 years old attended the first diocesan Women’s Come & See vocational discernment weekend March 1-3 in Delray Beach. They accepted the Lord’s invitation to learn about religious life from women in consecrated life and to see how each community is passionate and active, helping where they are called to serve others. The days included prayer, inspirational talks and meals, Eucharistic adoration, reconciliation and silent reflection. They were led by Sister Jadwiga Drapala, CACh, coordinator of women’s vocations, and Father Daniel Daza-Jaller, vocations director.
Presenters included members of these local religious communities: Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist (fsecommunity.org); The Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, from Cherry Hill, New Jersey (www.lsic.us); and the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm (www.carmelitesisters.com).
