Welcome to the website of the Roman Catholic
Diocese of Palm Beach!
The Pope from the Land of Faith and Immigrants
America is the land of dreams which can come true. How many have placed the dream of becoming its President before a young person as a real possibility. Now we can also place the dream of becoming the Pope to a citizen of this great nation. May we always respect our freedom as made in the image and likeness of God and our freedom to practice our faith...
Whether you are searching for information about the diocese, parishes, and schools or about the Roman Catholic Church, I hope our diocesan website will help you. The Diocese of Palm Beach comprises five counties in Southeastern Florida: Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee. From Sebastian to Boca Raton and from Palm Beach to Pahokee, 241,100 Catholics of the Diocese of Palm Beach span the economic and cultural spectrum of the area and contribute to a vibrant faith experience in our 50 parishes, 3 missions, and 1 Hispanic Pastoral Center.
Whether you are a full-time resident, a part-time winter resident, or a tourist visiting our area, I pray that you will enjoy your time in the diocese, and as you tour our website. May Mary, Our Lady Queen of the Apostles, patroness of the diocese, guide us in the footsteps of her Son, Jesus Christ.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito
Bishop of Palm Beach

Wisconsin’s Catholic bishops said that state’s top court issued a “tragic ruling” by striking down an abortion ban Wisconsin had in place since 1849. The 4-3 ruling, issued July 2, held that the past 50 years of “comprehensive legislation” on abortion regulation had implicitly repealed the law.
Staff and volunteers with the Catholic Charities Disaster Recovery program are specially trained to assist people in the five-county Diocese of Palm Beach who are impacted by violent storms and their effects. The initial period of assistance, disaster relief, includes meeting immediate needs for food, water and shelter, said Carol Rodriguez, Catholic Charities’ program development and quality director.
