Parking Alert for Visitors to the Pastoral Center

An alert for those traveling this week to the Pastoral Center (the Chancery of the Diocese of Palm Beach) in Palm Beach Gardens or to the Cathedral of St. Ignatius Loyola which shares our campus. Starting tomorrow, June 13, the parking lots located directly in front of the Pastoral Center (and to the south of the Cathedral's Parish Hall) will not be available for parking. They will be closed for construction. Pastoral Center visitors will need to park behind the Pastoral Center or in the parking area located at the Cathedral behind the Chapel, and will need to follow signs directing pedestrians to the front entrance of the Pastoral Center.

Today workers began installing fencing to block off those parking lots in preparation for some construction. The parking lots will not be accessible from either the entrance off Military Trail nor through the Cathedral parking lot. This means the circular drop-off area in front  of the Cathedral will also be closed to all traffic until further notice. The work is expected to take several weeks to complete. We apologize for any inconveniences but it's necessary work to expand the work we do and the Church of God.

The Diocese of Palm Beach plans to keep visitors updated on the plans and parking availability on its website and will also post updates on its Facebook page.

The temporary closing of the Pastoral Center's parking lot is one of the early phases of work leading up to expected construction of the Cathedral's new Family Life Center. For questions about the construction at the Cathedral, please contact the Parish Office at 561-622-2565. For questions about the parking for Pastoral Center visitors, please call 561-775-9500.

Workers dig holes to install fencing that will block off the parking lots in front of the Pastoral Center. Fencing will also block off the circular drop-off area in front of the Cathedral. To view more pictures, visit our Facebook page or click here.
