Ascension Catholic Church

In 2018, Ascension Catholic Church was excited to be celebrating its 50th Anniversary in Boca Raton. The parish's anniversary theme was “Building on 50 Years of Faith,” to reinforce our commitment and participation in a program called “REBUILT- Making Church Matter.”

The parish mission statement is a simple declaration of the command that Jesus gave His disciples before His Ascension to Heaven: “Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples.” They are doing just that with their commitment to bring back the lost; those who have drifted away from the faith. The parish wants every person in the pew to make an investment in the parish and invite a friend or family member back to Church.

Ascension offers an atmosphere of welcome and hospitality to long-time parishioners and first-time guests, with our greeters, host ministers, Information Booth, and Holy Grounds Café. As a parish representative mentioned, "We are committed to a great experience in message and music at every Mass. Our praise and worship music at Mass is inspiring. We offer a message series about six times in the liturgical year, where the same homily will be given at every Mass."

They have offered message series such as “Breathing Room,” “Angels,” “Life of Paul,” and “Vision.” The series is delivered over a four to six-week period, with the message building each week. The whole church shares the same message, as well as the message continuing in our small groups which meet in people’s homes or at the church on a weekly basis. The small groups make the “big church” more personal and are made up of 6-12 people.

"We say that Jesus formed the first small group with His 12 disciples and that our small groups help build discipleship and spirituality. We are a parish committed to ministry and mission, with hundreds of volunteers participating in week-end ministry in the parish and mission work outside the parish. We are building a strong youth program with Children’s Liturgy of the Word, Children’s Small Groups, and a growing middle-school and high-school Youth Group. Our Council of Catholic Women is a vibrant, active group of women who are also committed to ministry and mission in the parish. Our Knights of Columbus and Men’s Club provide service and support," remarked the parish representative.

Ascension Catholic Church also provides scripture studies and nights of prayer and offer a daily prayer devotion through their parish app, email and Facebook. To find out more about our parish and our programs, follow them on Facebook,, Twitter, or check out their website at

Their small group message series can be viewed at, which includes the small group video. They invite you to come to Mass, have a cup of coffee on us and stop by our Information Booth for a free “REBUILT” book!
