Holy Family Catholic Church

Holy Family holds the distinction of being the first parish to be established in the newly formed Diocese of Palm Beach, founded in 1987. Their first Mass was celebrated at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Ravenswood Road, Port St. Lucie, on Palm Sunday, April 12, 1987. Daily Mass was held in the garage of the Rectory and then in a movie theater in the Treasure Coast Square Mall; Saturday Vigil and Sunday Masses at that time were celebrated in the Village Green Elementary School cafeteria.

They’ve come a long way since then. Under Father Thomas F. Cauley, Jr.’s direction (retired), and with a magnificent effort by the men and women of the parish, construction of the church was undertaken in 1994. Organizations and individuals had a hand in large and small decisions. One interesting fact about the commissioned statuary in the sanctuary is that certain parishioners modeled for the artist, so small touches like the arthritic hands of St. Anne and the sweet face of the child Jesus mean something special to this congregation. Finally, and with much excitement, the first Mass was celebrated in the new church at Midnight on Christmas 1998.

Fr. Tom retired in August 2015. On September 1, 2015, the Reverend Tri Pham was installed as Parochial Administrator, and on January 8, 2017, he was installed as the third Pastor of Holy Family. The parish continues to strive to uphold its mission statement, which recognizes the diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds of its parishioners and emphasizes meeting the spiritual needs of its members by building a strong sense of community. Holy Family hosts 20 ministries, 13 prayer groups, and 6 ongoing faith formation programs. We offer regular Masses in Spanish, Tagalog and Polish. New programming is added as the Holy Spirit inspires.

Father Tri encourages Holy Family parishioners and visitors to go on retreat; find healing for physical, emotional, and spiritual needs; and advance Jesus’ mission by actively participating in the works of mercy to meet the needs of those in our parish, city, and county. Father Tri himself models this by offering Healing Masses every month and by sharing the events, challenges, and results of his annual missionary work to Southeast Asia.
